May sees the internationally renowned Cannes Film Festival take place in the glamorous south of France. It is considered the finest film festival in the world by both the industry and the public and every year just seems to get more spectacular.
The organizers have recently begun staging viewings on the beach and large production companies often scatter interesting props around the town. Elements of Cannes are very industry-focused and screenings are often reserved for professionals and critics.
However, there’s still plenty for travelers to get involved with and Cannes would lose a great deal of its atmosphere without its public.
